The majestic city of Victoria Falls is poised to host the inaugural Victorian Awards, a prestigious ceremony slated to take place on the 30th of March this year at the esteemed Peniel Retreat Centre. The event is scheduled to commence at 6pm, Central African Time. The awards have been established to pay tribute to exceptional individuals within the city of Victoria Falls, particularly those who have made a profound impact on various sectors, including tourism, media, entertainment, art, and community.

As aptly stated by one of the founders, Respect Thakaya, “Victoria Falls is home to exceptional talent, business, and change-makers. The Victoria Awards will shine a spotlight on these individuals, affording them the recognition they so rightly deserve, while inspiring the next generation of leaders.”

The awards ceremony will feature a diverse range of categories, with at least 12 awards to be presented. These include:

The nomination process was open to the public from January 22nd to February 13th of this year, and the finalists will be announced on the 5th of March. The voting platform will also be accessible on the same day, remaining open until the 15th of March.

As Mr. Thakaya informed, “Nominations ran from January 22 to February 13, 2025, with an overwhelmingly positive response from the public. The finalists will be announced on the 5th of March, following the compilation and vetting of nominees according to the awards’ qualification criteria.”
