The City of Victoria Falls is making remarkable progress on its BE100 housing scheme, which will deliver around 500 new housing stands upon completion.
Launched in 2023, the project is already ahead of schedule, with the contractor, Highshot Engineering, having completed over 90% of the 7km high-pressure water pipe installation, including pressure testing. Additionally, more than half of the 7.8km road network, which will be double surfaced, has been completed, while one-third of the 12km sewer pipe system is already in place.
The BE100 scheme, located west of BD46 and Mfelandawonye, will also include storm drains to support proper drainage and infrastructure resilience.
During a recent site tour by Victoria Falls City Councillors and senior management, officials expressed satisfaction with the progress. The tour also covered other capital development projects currently underway in the city.

Project contractor Mr. Chriss Potter commended the pace of construction and urged residents to stay away from the site for safety reasons, as many trenches remain open. He also noted that the project has created employment opportunities for local residents, including women, contributing to the community’s economic upliftment.
The development is on track to meet its September 2025 completion deadline, setting a new standard for urban infrastructure delivery in the city.
